Skin Care Favorites: Masks!

Happy Friday Lovebugs! Lately I’ve been feeling TIRED. With the move and just life in general we’ve been having lots of early mornings and late nights and I just can’t hang anymore. Not only have I been tired but we’ve also been spending lots of time moving boxes and cleaning. That means I’m usually sweating at some point with makeup on. All this boils down to my skin being out of whack and dull looking. I’ve also been combatting some problem areas along the way. I wanted to share some things I’ve been using lately to help my skin feel better and look better so I don’t look as tired as I feel!

Dead Sea Mud Mask by ArtNaturals– I got this from Elite Deal Club and paid under $1 for it and at 8.8oz that is a complete win in my book! This product leaves my skin feeling fresh and brightened every time. If you don’t go through Elite Deal Club you can also get it off Amazon and even at $15 it’s still a steal in my book for that much product. I’ve used it several times and there is barely a dent in it. The only thing with this is don’t get it near your eyes! It’s strong and one time I got it to close to my eyes and it made them water the whole time!

Pandas Dream Eye Patches by TonyMoly– I can’t get over these! They are cooling, firming and everything you want in an eye patch. Dramatic yes but also true! I used these the other night after 4 days of straight packing, moving, and cleaning and let me tell you it was so relaxing! You cover your eyes and just lay back and relax for 20 minutes. They also have flaps in them so you can pull them up and still wear them but be able to see. I got this at Ulta for under $3!

My relaxing time:)

BONUS Skin Care Tip!– I got this tip from a video Tati did on her Youtube channel and have loved it since. When using the packs of eye pads or sheet masks make sure to get out the extra gel inside! That’s all the good stuff for your skin! I always take it out and pat it on my skin before bed!

Charcoal Pore Strips by Biore– Well guys. It happened! I got Nick to use a face product! I think its important for guys to take care of their skin as well and this was something fun for him to try. We do them at the same time and to be honest it’s crazy to see what comes out of your pores when you do these. For me these always make my makeup go on better and smoother.

– Sheet Masks by Miss Spa– Pretty much every one that I’ve tried is awesome and leaves my skin feeling firm and fresh. They are easy and really make you relax because using these standing up is just not possible!

Argan Oil Mud by 7th Heaven– I tried this for the first time this week and it’s already a favorite! It was so cooling and tightening while wearing it and left my skin feeling great after! Also, only $1.99 at Ulta!

Sweet Tea & Lemon Peel-Away Clay Mask by Freeman– Now me and this product have a love hate relationship. The reason I’m mentioning it is because I really think it has some great benefits but I do believe you have to be careful with it. When I first applied this product I put it all over my face like I do with regular peel off masks. BIG mistake! My skin is way too sensitive and it hurt so badly taking it off. Most of this is because it was pulling at the little baby hairs on my face but also just because it is an intense product. After removing it my face would be bring red and burning. Not what you want. So recently I changed it up and started only putting it on my t-zone and I actually love it now! For that area in my skin its not too harsh and that’s really where I want the deep cleansing anyway! I also picked this up at Ulta for under $10. Like the mud mask above you get a ton of product.

As you can see I like to keep my pampering affordable! I do believe skin care is the one place you can really splurge and have it be worth it but you can absolutely do it for an affordable price as well! Keeping your skin healthy and taken care of is so important and it doesn’t matter the age! I honestly don’t think you can start to early because everything you do is just helping in preventing things in the future.

I hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing weekend!

  1. I had a avocado clay mask from Freeman and it did the SAME thing to my skin!! I ended up looking like a tomato for the night.. but now i use it as a spot treatment and it works great! I love masks. I’ll have to try some of these out 🙂

  3. This post makes me want to take an Ulta trip.

I have a dead sea mask sitting on my wishlist on Amazon, now I’m REALLY tempted to try it out. I’ve been using the Aztec Healing Clay. On week two right now and I THINK it’s starting to clear up my skin. You mix it with apple cider vinegar, ratio is 1:1. It smells real bad at first, I light candles so the room doesn’t smell like it, but the smell washes off when I remove. Been using it twice a week because my acne has been seriously out of control lately. Now I barely have any breakouts. Usually rule of thumb to things to do its magic is 3 months, so I don’t know if it’s the mask or my hormones realining itself. I also wash my face with a clarosonic and benzoyl peroxide.

I’ve used other masks such as a black mask that didn’t work. Those one packet masks makes my skin soft but ONLY for that day that. The biore strips I love, helps remove those gross black heads. I heard sulfur masks work too, never tried them.

Do want to try a peel but I may want to get that done at a spa once I round my pretty little pennies for them.

  4. Oh, thanks for the reviews! I’ve actually planned to post about one of the delicious scrubs I’ve been using on my face, smells amazing and I love how it makes my skin feel. You reminded me to get it done! I agree we need to take care of our skin, I’m excited to try some of the masks you’ve got 🙂
