My Working Girl Lookbook

Since starting my new job I’ve been having a lot of fun picking out new working girl outfits! I’ve currently been having a little too much fun online shopping for even more fun pieces but that’s a story for another time!

Today I thought I would show you some of my staples that I keep in rotation! I see a lot of posts on interview attire, which come in handy, but what comes after you get the job? I know for me, personally, I didn’t know exactly what the feel of my new office was and what was “acceptable”. I had a panicking moment one night where Nick and I ended up doing a late night Target run just to get me a couple more pieces for the week.

My three key pieces are: a black blazer, black dress pants (I may or may not own 3 pairs), and my favorite Payless nude heels! Keep scrolling to see how I mix in these key items with different parts of my wardrobe!

I’m definitely not afraid to repeat pieces but I also don’t want it to look like I only own 3 outfits. Mixing and matching is my favorite and slowly building a wardrobe that I love is my goal.

What are some of your work attire staples?

      1. That’s so cool! I’m glad you’re getting along well. This makes me happy!

I’m good. I’m teaching business English and everyone is super fun and nice. It’s summer so I don’t have many classes. They take vacations here v seriously hahaha.

  1. I’m terrible with two piece outfits, so I tend to wear a lot of dresses. Then I toss on a pair of dress boots and I’m done. When I do mix and match, it’s usually with my black pencil skirt. Goes with EVERYTHING all year

  2. I work from home, so I just wear whatever is comfortable – which yes, often ends up being pajamas or sweats, but I do try to at least make an effort and always feel better if I take a few minutes and get dressed and do my hair a little bit and put on some makeup. I love the concept of mixing and matching with a few key versatile pieces! I would probably also be someone to get multiple and/or multiple colors of the same style (like the black pants in a khaki color or navy, or the blazer in a navy, pink, or white, haha)

    1. Awe I love that. And I know what you mean. Getting ready, even when your staying in, always makes you feel better! Oh and yes! I totally love that! Once you like something, get it in every color!! Haha
