My 2017 Planner!

Goals, goals, goals, and more goals! That’s what I’ve been hearing and seeing lately and loving it! No matter the goal, big or small, it’s so exciting to see everyone feeling fresh and exited about 2017.

A big part of this excitement for me has been my new planner. Allison from How To Get Things Done in Ten Ways sent me my new planner for christmas and since then, I’ve been obsessed! She not only got me the planner but got me fun stickers for it and the best of all… white out! She understands my love for writing in pen and also my love for changing things so this was absolutely perfect.

I got so many questions on my resolutions blog post and instagram talking about this planner that I thought I would go a little more in depth about mine. My resolution is to write in my planner every week and take it with me all the time. Since then I’ve modified that resolution even more!

I have a Bloom planner from Amazon and it’s amazing! It has so much room to write lists in which is exactly what I wanted.

I always get overwhelmed with planners and thinking weeks and weeks in advance. This is usually what deters me from using them. Not that it has to be that way but in my head that’s always what happens. So this time I’m telling myself to just take it one week at a time.

Another thing I want to add to my planner is not only writing a “To-do List” but also writing a “All Done” list. Sometimes life can get overwhelming and writing down what you’ve already done and checking it off just feels really good! You can forget what you needed to do and didn’t write it on your to do list but once it’s done still want to write it down. For me it’s just another thing my mind doesn’t need to think about anymore.

I would love to hear if you are getting into using a planner too or if you are already loving using a planner and what you love about it!

  1. I wish I was good with planners, but I’m so completely not. Instead, I use Google Calendar for everything and then track my goals with an app called Habits. They both send you reminders at preset times and it’s like magic.

  2. Nice! I’ve never used a Bloom planner but will have to try it. Tip- if you like writing in pen, but don’t like the white out streaks, I use Pilot Frixon Erasable pens and they are the best erasable pen I’ve ever seen. They come in Black, Blue and Red. I always keep one in my planner so if I need to reschedule things, I can just erase and move.

Love to hear how you end up liking your Bloom planner after a little while. I’ve tried a few different systems, but always revert back to my Filofax with custom printed inserts I usually find from Etsy. Right now I’m trying bullet journaling which is interesting.

  3. Love it! I recently got a planner in a New Years sale from papersource and I’m totally in love. My phone is convenient but I love having everything actually written out.
